Last week, as I have for over a dozen years (check the SacBee Archives) I kicked off my practice of convening Ballot Proposition Town Hall Meetings for area voters. My first was in Elk Grove among SD 1 voters who were very complimentary of the evening, even as they self-identified themselves as both Democrats and Republicans. Here’s a sample of the email feedback:
“Ken, as usual, I came away from tonight’s presentation not only impressed, but a more informed (and hopefully, wiser) voter. You, as usual, did an outstanding job of making the nine proposals more understandable to a “lay†person.
As I’ve indicated before, I feel that all voters should be exposed to your presentation as the issues are neither Democrat nor Republican, but will affect all of us in the State as a whole. Therefore, to me, your non-biased presentation and explanation of these proposals (complete with the pro and con positions) is an invaluable tool and a great resource that will be a great help as I go to the polls this November.
Thank you so much for taking your time to come out to Elk Grove and informing those of us who attended tonight’s presentation.â€
My next Ballot Prop Town Hall will be at in my City at Cordova Neighborhood Church on Monday 9/27 at 7:00 p.m.
