Aug 4, 2010: Alarcon and his wife, Flora Montes de Oca, were indicted by a grand jury on 24 felony counts, saying they committed perjury and voter fraud when they listed their home as being in Panorama City. Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley's Public Integrity Division investigated the couple over 15 months on accusations Alarcon and his wife falsely claimed that their home was at an address in Alarcon's 7th Council District in northeast San Fernando Valley (including the neighborhoods Sylmar and Pacoima). Alarcon and his wife both pleaded not guilty and were released on their own recognizance. Source: L.A.
