Nov. 23, 2009: Gov. Schwarzenegger announced on "The Jay Leno Show" that he would appoint Abel Maldonado as lieutenant governor to replace John Garamendi. Garamendi was elected to Congress on Nov. 3rd, 2009, in California's 10th Congressinal District and stepped down as lieutenant governor the next day.

1990-1993: Schwarzenegger was Chairman of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports under the George H. W. Bush administration.

Schwarzenegger was a box office star and action-hero in such movies as"The Terminator,""Predator,""Total Recall," and"True Lies" and comidies "Twins" and"Kindergarten Cop."

Schwarzenegger earned a business degree from a campus of the University of Wisconsin and moved into the real estate market buying property in Santa Monica near where he trained.

1982: Schwarzenegger starred in the film "Conan the Barbarian."

1977: Schwarzenegger was a subject of the documentary film "Pumping Iron" about the "Mr. Olympia" competitions.

1970: Schwarzenegger landed a small role in the film "Hercules in New York."

Schwarzenegger won thirteen championship bodybuilding titles, including Mr. Universe, Mr. Olympia and Mr. World.

Schwarzenegger immigrated to America at the age of 21 from his native Austria.

Schwarzenegger was born in Graz, Austria and took up weight lifting at the age of 15 and at 20 years old he captured the title of "Mr. Universe."
