March, 1998: Named President of the California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA). 1992: Hired as the Executive Vice President of CMTA (at the time, it was the California Manufacturers Assn.) 1984: Appointed by Gov. George Deukmejian as Chief Deputy of the California Department of Commerce. 1983 - 84: Chief Consultant for the California Senate Select Committee on Business Development 1981 - 83: Staff Director of the California Senate Minority Leader's Office 1974 - 1980: staffed many Members of Congress.
