Jan. 2012: joined Sacramento lobbying firm Capitol Advocacy as an "of-counsel" attorney.

2011: Torrico was appointed by Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez to a seat on the state Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board. Torrico's term ends January 1, 2015.

June 2010: Torrico lost to Gavin Newsom in the Democratic primary election for state attorney general.

Dec. 2004 – Nov. 2010: Torrico served in the state Assembly representing the 20th District.

2001: Elected to the Newark City Council and served as vice-mayor.

2000: Torrico worked as assistant general counsel with the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Agency
