September 2007: Dowd signed on as chief strategist to advise the anti-poverty organization One Vote '08 (http://www.one.org/) led by U2 lead singer Bono to get presidential candidates to promise to combat worldwide hunger and disease.
September 2007: Dowd left the Committee for Term limits and Legislative Reform and was replaced by John Weaver.
February 2007: Worked on a bipartisan campaign team formed to convince California voters to modify legislative term limits. Gale Kaufman also advised the campaign.
2006: Dowd was one of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's chief advisers when he ran for re-election.
