Nov. 15, 2008: Schiliro joined President-elect Barack Obama's staff as assistant to the president for legislative affairs. In that post Schiliro will be the White House liaison to Congress.
July 7, 2008: Schiliro joined Barack Obama's presidential campaign as a senior adviser, leading a team of House and Senate liaisons.
Previously:
Schiliro was chief of staff to Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) for a total of 25 years.
In 2004 he served as a top aide to ex-Sen. Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) before rejoining back to Waxman's staff.
