July 2010: Campbell dropped his bid for California Governor to run in the 2010 Republican Primary election for U.S. Senate. Campbell's chief competitors are Carly Fiorina and Chuck DeVore. Ray McNally of the McNallyTemple PR firm is his political consultant.

July 2008: Campbell began run for California Governor in the 2010 election.

Aug 27th, 2007: Campbell announced that in the Summer of 2008 he would step down in from his position of Dean of the Hass Business School at UC Berkeley.

2002 - 2004 and 2005 - present:
Serves as Dean of the Haas School of Business and a professor of business administration at UC Berkeley.

Nov. 2004 - Xxx. 200x: Campbell served as Finance Director under Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, succeeding Donna Arduin. Campbell resigned in October 2004 and the following month Gov. Schwarzenegger appointed Tom Campbell as the new finance director.

From 2004 to 2005 Campbell took a leave of absence from his Berkeley post to serve as director of the California Department of Finance in the Schwarzenegger administration, but has since returned to lead the Haas School of Business.


1995 - 2000: U.S. Congressmember representing California's 15th District.
