Schnur has worked as a Republican political strategist, communications consultant and as a university lecturer.
June 1, 2010: Schnur was named by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger as chair of the Fair Political Practices Commission.
Presently: Schnur is director of the Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics at USC’s College of Letters
2000: Schnur was communications director for U.S. Sen John McCain's presidential campaign.
1990: Schnur was press secretary and communications director for Gov. Pete Wilson.
Schnur was communications director for the California Republican Party.
1988: Schnur was spokesman for the George H. W. Bush / Dan Quayle campaign.
1984: Schnur was a media assistant for the Ronald Reagan / George H. W. Bush presidential campaign.
