Aug. 24, 2009 Evans announced she will campaign for the 2010 Democratic nomination in Senate District 2. Earlier in the day Senator Patricia Wiggins announced she will not seek reelection.

1981: Evans received her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento.

1978: Evans received her BA degree (with honors) in government from California State University, Sacramento.

Evans is an attorney with the Santa Rose law firm of Lanahan & Reilley, LLP. Her practice emphasizes civil appeals and litigation.

Evans is married to Mark Fudem, who is an attorney. They have three children and live in Santa Rose, California.lol
