2014 - Appointed by Mayor Faulconer as Director of San Diego's new Performance and Analytics Department charged with implementing the San Diego Works employee efficiency and incentive program, oversee citywide strategic planning, implement an open data policy, and develop citywide performance metrics.

2014 - Appointed Director of Government Affairs for newly-elected San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer to handle state issues impacting the City including storm water and redevelopment dissolution impacts; spearheaded the FY 15 budget development; crafted a new employee efficiency and incentive program called San Diego Works; negotiated economic development incentive agreements with San Diego's premier industries; streamlined procurement; and worked to reform the City's community development block grant program allocation to help build sidewalks and streetlights in low-income neighborhoods.

2013 - Appointed Deputy Chief of Staff to Councilman Mark Kersey (San Diego - District 5) to direct the councilmember's policy agenda with specific focus on economic development, water policy, open data, and the development of San Diego's first 5-year Infrastructure Plan.

2012 - Appointed Director of Council Affairs in Mayor Jerry Sanders' administration to maintain relationships with council members and advance the Mayor's agenda, which included a major streamlining of the capital improvement program project delivery that reduced the contracting award time by over 50%.

2011 - Appointed Deputy Director of Intergovernmental Relations and Fiscal Policy for San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders to work on resolving the city's budget deficit, implement managed competition, handle water and environmental policy, and advance the city's interests at the state level.

2009 - Appointed Policy & Fiscal Advisor to the Assembly Minority Leader to deal primarily with state budget strategy and negotiations.

2007 - Developed Assembly Republican policy package in "year of health care reform."

2005 - Appointed Principal Health Policy Consultant in the Assembly Republican Caucus Office of Policy.

2003 - Promoted to Senior Performance Auditor at Bureau of State Audits, overseeing audits of the Prison Industry Authority, the Public Utilities Commission, and the Department of Education.

2002 - Rookie of the Year Award at Bureau of State Audits.

2001 - Performance Auditor at Bureau of State Audits, conducting reviews of Department of Corrections, Charter Schools, Franchise Tax Board, L.A. County Department of Health Services, and state long-term care programs.

2001 - M.P.P. Pepperdine University; American Politics & International Relations. Capstone Project: Expansion of NAFTA.

1999 - B.A. summa cum laude Hillsdale College; International Studies in Business and Spanish.
