Longtime chief of staff for Rep. John Doolittle until 2005. Continued to work for Doolittle as a campaign consultant for about a year after that. Lopez's successor as Doolittle's chief of staff was Richard Robinson.
Lopez is under subpoena to turn over documents to the grand jury. The documents involve, among other things, fundraising information involving Julie Doolittle's home-based company, Sierra Dominion Financial Solutions. Lopez is represented by Sacramento attorney William Portanova.
