August 12, 2010: Appointed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board.

November 17, 2009: Ackerman got 19% of the vote and lost in special election primary to Chris Norby who received 37% of the vote.

October, 2009: Ackerman officially gets in race to fill Mike Duvall's AD 72 seat in Nov. 17 special election.

Sept. 10, 2009: The Orange County Register reports that Ackerman is considering a run for the Assembly seat vacated by Michael Duvall. Duvall resigned Sept. 9 amid a sex scandal. Source:

Linda Ackerman is the wife of former state Senate Republican leader Dick Ackerman who represented Senate District 33 from 2000 to 2008 after representing Assembly District 72 from 1995 to 2000.
