Roselli is the president of United Healthcare Workers-West, a local chapter of the Service Employees International Union, with 150,000 members (http://www.seiu-uhw.org/aboutuhw/leaders/sal.html) and the SEIU California state council, which represents over 600,000 union workers in the state.

Feb. 11, 2008: Rosselli resigned from the national governing council of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), charging that national membership expansion drives by the group's president, Andy Stern, has "eclipsed SEIU's commitment to its members."

Dec. 3, 2007: Rosselli withdrew his nomination for re-elections as president of the SEIU state council. Rosselli disagreed with other council leaders' support of Gov. Schwarzenegger's legislative effort to expand health care to most Californians.
