Dec. 9, 2012: Alby, 66, died of a heart attack.
California Republican Party statement:

September, 2010: Alby entered the race to fill SD 1, left vacant by Dave Cox, who passed away in July. Alby joined other Republican candidates Ted Gaines and Roger Niello.

Alby is the acting representative of the 2nd distrcit on the Board of Equalization and is running for that seat in 2010.

March 8, 2010: Alby stepped in to fulfill the remaining term of the District 2 seat on the Board of Equalization after Bill Leonard accepted an appointment by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to the state Consumer Services Agency. Previously Alby was Leonard's chief deputy. The move is a boost to Alby's 2010 campaign for the seat as she now will run as an acting board member.

1993: Alby was elected to the State Assembly, representing the Sacramento area.

Alby hosts a show on the Sacramento Christian radio station KFIA AM 710.

Alby represents California on the Republican National Committee.

She is mother of five, grandmother of four and spouse of one.
