Mrach 2, 2012: Griffin was hired to lead the Human Rights Campaign, a Washington-based gay rights lobbying and education group.
2008: Griffin helped lead the effort to prevent passage of Proposition 8. Griffin subsequently helped lead the legal fight against implementation of Proposition 8.
Previously:
-- Griffin worked in President Bill Clinton's communications office at age 19 and spent nearly two years in the White House.
-- Griffin moved to Los Angeles to run a charitable foundation for director and actor Rob Reiner.
Griffin is a native of Arkansas.
